Intervention Study On Treating Coronary Heart Disease And Stable Angina Pectoris And Related Mental Disorders By Shenxiang Pill-A Unique TCM Preparation

Objective:Evaluating the efficacy of "Shenxiang Pill" in order to provide clinical foundation for this TCM external therapy of coronary heart disease and related mental disorders and to promote its clinical use,by observing prognostic TCM syndromes,anxiety,sleep disorders and exercise capacity changes of patients who were suffering from coronary heart disease both physically and mentally.Method:60 patients with coronary heart disease and stable angina pectoris were randomly divided into 30 cases in the treatment group and 30 in the control group.The control group was treated with simple western medicine,and the treatment group was treated with "Shenxiang Pill"acupoint application on the basis of the control group.Both two groups were treated for 4 weeks.After the end of the treatment,we observed and recorded the total score of TCM syndromes,individual symptom scores,HAMA score,AIS score,6 minute walking distance and total ischemic burden before and after treatment.Relevant data were collected and analyzed statistically.Result:1.The total effective rate:the total effective rate of the control group is 83.33%,while the treatment group is 93.33%.Compared with the two groups,the curative effect of he treatment group is better than that of the control group(P<0.01).2.The comparison of the total score of TCM syndromes:the total scores of TCM syndromes of the two groups are significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01),and the curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group(P<0.05).3.Comparison of individual symptoms:all symptoms of the treatment group are significantly improved after treatment(P<0.01),symptoms except lip color of the control group are improved(P<0.01).The efficacy of chest pain,sense of suppression in the chest,lassitude,lip color of the treatment group is better than that of the control group(P<0.01,P<0.05),but the curative effect of palpitations,wheezing has no obvious difference between the two groups(P>0.05).4.Comparison of anxiety state:the HAMA scores of the two groups are both significantly decreased after treatment(P<0.01)and the curative effect of the treatment group is better than the control group(P<0.01).5.Comparison of sleep disorders:After treatment,the AIS scores of the two groups are significantly decreased(P<0.01),and the curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group(P<0.01).6.Comparison of 6 minutes walking distance:the walking distance of the two groups increases significantly after treatment(P<0.01),and the curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group(P<0.01).7.Comparison of total ischemic burden:After treatment,total ischemic burden of the two groups is improved(P<0.05),and the effect shows no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:"Shenxiang Pill" has a good curative effect in treating coronary heart disease and stable angina pectoris and related mental disorders.It can significantly improve the clinical syndromes of CHD,anxiety state and sleep disorders,which means curing both physically and mentally.It can also improve the exercise capacity of CHD patients,improve the heart function.In addition,it is worthy of clinical promotion due to its obvious efficacy,few side effects,simple operation,easy to carry and patients' good compliance.
