Objective By comparing the acupoint catgut embedding and oral administration of western medicine in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis of spleen-stomach deficiency type, and to clarify the clinical efficacy of acupoint catgut embedding in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods 64 collected cases of chronic atrophic gastritis of spleen-stomach deficiency type in the outpatient department were randomly divided into two groups, that is,embedding Group and western medicine Group,32 cases in each group.Embedding Group:catgut embedding point:CV13,CV12,CV10,ST36,CV6,ST25,acupoint catgut embedding once in every 15 days, three months for a course,a total of 2 courses;Western Medicine Group:folic acid tablets 5 milligrams a time,3 times a day, three months for a course,a total of 2 courses. Before the treatment and after 2 courses of the treatment, the evaluation of the symptoms score, and electronic gastroscope as well as histopathologic examination to evaluate the gastric mucosal lesions. All the data were collected from the above procedures, which were compared balance, effectiveness, difference and analyzed correlation through IBM SPSS 20.0.Results Two treatments can both significantly reduce patients'symptoms score(P<0.05),and Embedding Group is better than Western Medicine Group(P<0.05).Two treatments can both significantly reduce the gastric mucosal lesions of electronic gastroscope also reduce the gastric mucosal lesions of histopathologic examination(P<0.05),and Embedding Group is better than Western Medicine Group(P<0.05).The scores of two treatments before the treatment and after two courses treatment are no correlation with the gastric mucosal lesions of electronic gastroscope(P>0.01).The scores of two treatments before the treatment and after two courses treatment are no correlation with the gastric mucosal lesions of histopathologic examination(P>0.01).The total effective rate of Embedding Group is 93.54%,that of Western Medicine Group is 70.00%,and the clinical efficacy of Embedding Group is better than that of Western Medicine Group(P<0.05).Conclusions 1.Both of acupoint catgut embedding and oral administration of western medicine two treatments can improve patients' clinical symptoms and reduce the gastric mucosal lesions.2.The efficacy of acupoint catgut embedding of chronic atrophic gastritis of spleen-stomach deficiency type is better than that of oral administration of western medicine.3.There is no correlation between the lesion of the gastric mucosa and the clinical symptoms of chronic atrophic gastritis of spleen-stomach deficiency type.
