Objective: To investigate the performance of chondrocytes in the stump and fixed end of different types of mandibular condylar intracapsular fractures.Method:Adult goats involving male and female,using the closed orbit precision manufacturing of the mandibular condyle of type A,type B,typeC fracture model and the control group of the goats who have not been impacted.the stump and the fixed end and healthy goat condylar cartilage were detected by the mehod of PCNA(Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen PCNA)and the proliferation of cartilage cells,using TUNEL(Terminal-deoxynucleoitidyl Transferase Mediated Nick End Labeling TUNEL)to detect the apoptosis of cartilage cells,so as to investigate the chondrocytes in the mandibular condyle and the association between bone.Results: there was a significant difference in the proliferation and apoptosis of the cartilage cells between the A type and the C type fracture group and the control group(P <0.05).PCNA comparison of type A fractures:the stump is 42.11%,the fixed end is 91.30%,the control group is 95.74%,the PCNA comparison of C type fracture is 48.57%,the fixed end is 84.44%,and the control group is 86.95%.The TUNEL results of type A fracture were compared: the stump was 91.30%,the fixed end was 69.05%,the control group was 66.67%,the TUNEL result of C type fracture was 95.56%,the fixed end was 70.73%,and the control group was 67.39%.The proliferation of chondrocytes in type A and C was lower than that in the control group,but the apoptosis of chondrocytes was higher than that of the control group.Conclusion:There is A certain difference in the proliferation,apoptosis and osteogenic ability of the fixed end cartilage cells in type A fracture and C-type fracture.And there is A certain difference in the ability to proliferate and apoptosis,and the ability of apoptosis is strong.Therefore,the retention of residual ends in type A and C-type fracture is not significant,so the residual condylar process can be removed.
