Nasal Nerve And Anterior Ethmoidal Nerve Truncation Combined With Wuhuang Liquid Irrigation In Allergic Rhinitis Treatment

Objective:To investigate the clinical curative effect of Nasal nerve and anterior ethmoidal nerve truncation combined with Wuhuang liquid irrigation in Allergic rhinitis treatment.Methods:A single-blind randomized study was carried out a total of 121 patients with Allergic rhinitis Southwest Medical University affiliated Chinese Medicine Hospital from October 2016 to September 2017.40 patients in Simple surgery group,40 patients in the saline group were treated with“Nasal nerve and anterior ethmoidal nerve truncation”and saline nasal irrigation,41 patients in the Wuhuang liquid group were treated with“Nasal nerve and anterior ethmoidal nerve truncation”and Wuhuang liquid nasal irrigation.The detection of baseline indicators includes the demographic characteristics(patient name,gender,age,weight,height)and disease status of the study subjects.The efficacy evaluation indicators included Visual analogue scale(VAS)score and Rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ)score.The investigations were performed before surgery,1 month after surgery,3 months after surgery,and 6 months after surgery.SPSS22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.The normality test was performed on the measurement data using the D'Agootino-Pearson method.The normal distribution data was expressed as Mean±SD.The t-test was used for the two groups of data.The four groups of measurement data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and the Bonferroni-adjusted t-test was used to compare the mean of each group.The non-normal distribution uses the independent sample non-parametric test Mann-Whitney method and the data is Median±IQR.Rates or composition ratios are tested using chi-square test.P<0.05 indicates that the difference was statistically significant.Results:There was no difference in gender(x~2=0.009,P=0.923),age(t=0.577,P=0.565),height(z=-0.605,P=0.860)and weight(t=0.695,P=0.489)between the 3 groups.There was no significant difference in the overall VAS(F=0.433,P=0.650)and RQLQ(F=1.120,P=0.330)among 3 groups before surgery,and they were comparable.The RQLQ score was less in the Wuhuangye liquid group at 1month after surgery(t=2.099,P=0.039),3 months after surgery(t=2.567,P=0.012),and 6 months after surgery(t=2.905,P=0.005)than saline group and Simple surgery group.Compared with the saline group and Simple surgery group,the Wuhuangye liquid group had lower VAS score at 1 month(t=2.700,P=0.009),3 months(t=2.846,P=0.006)and 6 months(t=2.699,P=0.009)after surgery.There was no statistically significant difference in rhinoceros VAS scores among 3 groups at 1 month after surgery(F=1.139,P=0.324).Compared with the saline group and Simple surgery group,the Wuhuangye liquid group had lower rhinoceros VAS score at 3 months(t=2.362,P=0.021)and 6 months(t=2.489,P=0.015)after surgery.The Wuhuangye liquid group had lower sneeze VAS score at 1 months(t=2.049,P=0.044),3 months(t=2.225,P=0.029)and 6 months(t=2.488,P=0.015)after surgery than saline group and Simple surgery group.There was no statistically significant difference in the VAS scores of clear water scabs at 1 month after surgery(F=1.624,P=0.202).The Wuhuangye liquid group had lower clear nose VAS score at 3 months(t=2.174,P=0.033)and 6 months(t=3.250,P=0.002)after surgery than saline group and Simple surgery group.There was no significant difference in snuffles VAS scores between the 3 groups at 1 month after surgery(F=0.539,P=0.585).The Wuhuangye liquid group had lower snuffles VAS score at 3 months(t=3.428,P=0.001)and 6 months(t=3.193,P=0.002)after surgery than saline group and Simple surgery group.Conclusion:For the treatment of allergic rhinitis,postnasal nerve and anterior ethmoidal nerve truncation combined with Chinese medicine Wuhuang liquid nasal irrigation treatment has better efficacy than nasal surgery alone or with saline;Wuhuangye can not only promote the function of postoperative nasal mucosa Recovery,also has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects to help improve the four clinical symptoms of allergic rhinitis,and better improve the quality of life of patients.
