objective:To provide anatomical basis for the treatment of allergic rhinitis by blocking nasal autonomic nerve with high intensity focused ultrasound under endoscope. Methods:Ten (20 sides) in midline sagittal adult head and neck specimens were sawn by nasal anatomy, revealing the sphenopalatine foramen, nasal septum, middle turbinate and inferior turbinate branch of sphenopalatine nerve were anatomized, and the distance between the reference point and middle posterior superior nasal nerve to nasal septum, lateral posterior superior nasal nerve through the connection of the midpoint of posterior and anterior margin of the middle turbinate, posterior inferior nasal nerve up to the inferior turbinate on the rim, and the angle of the sphenopalatine foramen center and anterior nasal connection with the Frankfurt horizontal plane were measured. Results:1. Sphenopalatine nerve of nasal septum posterior medial surface moved from backward and upward to forward and downward; the distance between the nasal septum posterior medial branch up to the upper edge of talus choanal (9.04±1.51) mm (lower branch), (15.76±2.17) mm (upper branch), to basis nasi (18.95±2.69) mm (lower branch), (23.39±2.42) mm (upper branch).2. Lateral posterior superior nasal nerve in the middle turbinate moved forward; and the vertical distance between nerve through the connection of the midpoint of posterior and anterior margin of the inside edge of middle turbinate to the lower edge of the middle turbinate was (5.70±1.82) mm.3. Posterior inferior nasal nerve in the inferior turbinate on the edge of the back-end turned into the inferior turbinate;the distance between nerve from the upper edge of inferior turbinate to the edge of the inferior turbinate posterior was (7.28±1.36) mm.4. Sphenopalatine foramen is located near the nasal bones and the back-end, near the middle turbinate on the edge of the back-end; the distance between the sphenopalatine foramen center pitch to middle turbinate posterior was (5.81±1.38) mm;the angle of the sphenopalatine foramen center and anterior nasal connection with the Frankfurt plane was (26.8±2.49)°. Conclusion:For the treatment of allergic rhinitis with high intensity focused ultrasound under endoscope, the places of middle posterior superior nasal nerve to nasal septum, lateral posterior superior nasal nerve through the connection of the midpoint of posterior and anterior margin of the middle turbinate, posterior inferior nasal nerve up to the inferior turbinate on the rim can be chosen as reference points to be the targets to block the autonomic nerves.
