In contemporary society,oral iron supplements are one of the main drugs for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency in humans.At presentthe commonly used oral supplement is ferrous salt whose side effects include epigastric pain,diarrheaand constipation,which can often be severe enough to cause thetermination of treatment.Recent research indicates thatiron?III?complexes could beabsorbed by bodyandtheir biocompatibilityis not inferior tothat of ferrous sulfate.They have gradually become popular iron supplement.It has been found that polysaccharide-iron complexes have good stability,water-solubility and fewer side effects if used asiron supplements.In order to develop domestic iron supplements better,this study investigated corn starch polysaccharide iron.Westudiedo-phenanthrolinemethodwhich is asimpleandaccurate spectrophotometric for the rapid determination of Fe3+in this paper.The conditions of this method were screened and verified to determine the best measurement conditions.The iron element was studied by using homemade corn starch polysaccharide iron as sample:the identification of iron salt indicated that there was a large amount of Fe3+in corn starch polysaccharide;the iron content in the corn starch polysaccharide iron was measured at 40%to 46%using o-phenanthroline spectrophotometry,while free iron remains less than 0.01%during production.The research method was verified by the methodology.The data showed that the various experimental methods were accurate,reliable and could meet the analysis needs.The content of elemental iron in homemade corn starch polysaccharide iron enteric-coated sustained-releasecapsules determined byphenanthroline spectrophotometrywas 150 mg.The dissolution of self-made capsule drugs in dissolution medium was further measured and compared,and the stability of raw materials and preparations of homemade corn starch polysaccharide iron were also studied.Through the methodological verification of various analytical methods,the data show that the experimental methods in this experiment are accurate and reliable,and can meet the needs of analysis,which are all in accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacopoeia.The differences in the capsule dissolution curve are small and the stability is goodunder conditionsof high temperature,light,and high humidity,indicating that the preparation process is good.Better consistency of the evaluation of generic drugs.
