Objective By measuring the levels of COMP and CTX-? in the serum of patients with knee osteoarthritis to explore its clinical significance in the diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis, and if there was a correlation between the levels of COMP?CTX-? and image examination results to provide a reference for early detection, early diagnosis and evaluation of knee osteoarthritis. Methods 40 cases dignosed with knee osteoarthritis were collected from the affiliated hospital of Qinghai university as the case group and 40 cases who are no statistical differences of age, gender, nationality in Qinghai University affiliated hospital medical center compared with case group as the control group.X-ray and ultrasonography were performed on all subjects after VAS pain score and recorded the corresponding inspection results. The levels of COMP and CTX-? in serum of the two groups were detected by ELISA.Results 1.The serum of COMP and CTX-? levels in the case group were higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).2.The serum levels of COMP and CTX-? in the case group were statistically significantly different between grade ?I and IV of ultrasound(p<0.05).3.The levels of CTX-? in the case group in grade ?I were statistically significant compared with that in grade I,? and IV in the X-ray(p<0.05).There was no significant difference COMP levels in serum between groups(p>0.05).4.The COMP levels in serum in the case group was significantly different when VAS score was mild and moderate pain(p<0.05).The serum CTX-? levels were statistically significant in severe when VAS score is serious compared with mild and moderate pain(p<0.05).And serum levels of COMP,CTX-? were positively correlated with VAS scores(r=0.374,p<0.05 r=0.326,p<0.05).5.The lesion of cartilage, synovial membrane and supratellar effusion in cases group were statistically significant compared with control group(p<0.05).6.The detection rate of ultrasonography in the examination of cartilage destruction, the thickening of the synovial membrane and the cystic fluid of the patellar was higher than X-ray.The positive rate of ultrasound in diagnosing KOA(82.5%)was higher than that of X-ray(62.5%),and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion 1.Serum COMP and CTX-? can be used as an effective indicator for diagnosis of KOA.2.The levels of serum COMP and CTX-? in KOA patients were different in different ultrasound and X-ray grades, suggesting that the combination of the two with imaging examination could help evaluate the progression of the disease in KOA patients.3.There was a correlation between the levels of COMP and CTX-? and VAS score in KOA patients.
