Northern Areas in northern Anhui,at the Huaihe River,including the east of the Dabie Mountains,west of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal,south of the Yellow River,the majority of the area north of the Huaihe River.Because of its important geographical position,on the occasion of the Warring States,it has became an important area of Qin Chu and wu powers and contend for hegemony,leaving a wealth of relics of the Warring States to the Western Han Dynasty.This paper is based on the materials of Guyang City archaeological site in 2012,typical pottery unearthed were typed fractions,combined with the bronze material found in northern Anhui,initially established cultural seriation of Warring States Period to the later Western Han Dynasty and analyzed cultural factors.This paper is divided into six chapters:First chapter,this chapter introduced the geographic location,environment and history of the region,and outlined the discovery and excavations Guyang City archaeological site in 2012,and also summarizes the results of previous studies.Second Chapter,with the research methods of archeological typology and Stratigrahpy,this chapter select the typical pottery tall neck jar,big mouth jar,weng,pen,wan,bo,dou as the study objects,summarized the evolution of various types of artifacts.While the Guyang City unearthed eaves tile,coins,and so do comparative analysis,inference era,roughly it divided into four periods and seven stages,dating from the late Warring States Chu began and lasted until the late Western Han Dynasty.Third chapter,with the typological method,this chapter selected the typical bronzes in the Northern Areas,and divided into five phases,dating from the early Warring States period and continues to late Western Han Dynasty.Fourth chapter,this chapter analysed the cultural factors of Warring States Period to Han Dynasty in the Northern Areas and found that influenced by different culture factors of Chu,Qin,and Han.Especially,they were affected more by Chu culture factors in the early time,which from Hubei and the Central Plains region,and by Han culture factors in the later time.Fifth chapter,based on the Fourth chapter of cultural factors,this chapter summarized cultural fusion of Northern Areas.By the interpretation and analysis of historical data,indicating that war is the main reason why we can found Qin culture in Northern Areas.Sixth chapter,this chapter summarized the the previous chapters,indicating the results of the thesis research.
