Research And Application Of Tri-colored Glazed Pottery Used In Modern Decoration Art

As one of the most pivotal category in the development of ceramics history, Tri-colored glazed pottery is the most representative craftwork product of Tang dynasty because of the bright and brilliant color and the deep breath of life, and its distinctive decorative arts has a profound influence on the aesthetic decoration of later generations and contemporary society. From the perspective of its decorative art, this thesis desires to explore the deep cultural connotations for modern decorative arts by carrying out the systematic research on the exploitation and manifestation of Tri-colored glazed pottery in the modern decorative art. In the chapter one, both the history and the status quo of research on the decorative arts of Tri-colored glazed pottery are generalized and the original reason of the topic selection is revealed. In the chapter two, the historical improvement of Tri-color glazed pottery is organized from the analysis of its historical background via analyzing its cradle and the influence of politics, economy and culture at which Tricolor-glazed pottery was situated to the vertical comparison between Tri-colored glazed potteries in different historical periods to further investigate its development characteristics. In the chapter three, the artistic charm of Tri-colored glazed potteries is explored mainly from the study of its decoration skills, shape and image patterns, and color features to show the variety of means, the uniqueness of means of composition, the abundance of design patterns, the lifestyle decorative theme and the bright color to deepen the detailed research. In the chapter four, the innovative application of Tri-colored glazed potteries in the modern pottery art is analyzed and discussed. The synthesis of design patterns, colors and decorative skills with modern pottery art is discussed through the case study of its application in the contemporary decorative art so as to study the effect of Tri-colored glazed potteries on the contemporary decoration arts as well as the development in the current society.
