Emotion,Identification,Change-Research Of Yang Li-Chou’s Documentary

Since the government removed restrictions on politics in 1987,breaking the social control in every aspect,Taiwan gained unprecedented advance.In terms of the documentary,the image of freedom has obtained complete liberation and experiencing the change from the mouthpiece of the ideology to local humanistic care.Taiwan documentary on the road of diversified development,becomes a vibrant art style.Taiwan contemporary documentary director Yang Li-Chou who is the backbone of Taiwan documentary creation field have completed many influential works including My Football Summer(2006),The Long Goodbye(2010),Young at Heart: Grandma Cheerleaders(2011),Bridge Over Troubled Water(2013)and so on.With his gentle,moving story and relaxed,lively image expression,documentary success to get rid of boring stereotype,from the edge position to wide attention by the public.Yang Li-Chou has formed its own distinctive style.As the research background,this paper first gives an overview of the Taiwan documentary history and the production-communication environment.Then,the paper introduces Yang Li-Chou’s creation experience and the concept of filming.Finally,baseing on the representative works,from the two aspects of narrative strategies and audio-visual language to analyse characteristics of Yang Li-Chou’s documentary.
