Prosocial behavior, inherent requirement of harmonious society and expression of personal qualities, refers to a series of social behaviors, such as sharing,cooperation, altruism, humility, help. Junior High school students will experience an important stage in socializing individual personalities. The family, a basic unit of society, is the original environment in cultivating good prosocial behavior. Numerous studies show that emotional intelligence is significantly related to prosocial behavior,and educational way has a significant positive effect on emotional intelligence.Previous studies on parenting style and prosocial behavior lack of intermediary mechanism, so it is necessary to study the mechanism of action of both. In this essay,the author studies parenting style and prosocial behavior, and also investigates the role of intermediary function of emotional intelligence between them.The author conducts a questionnaire survey for 566 junior high school students of Zibo City by using cluster sampling method, Parenting Style Scale EMBU,Emotional Intelligence Scale of high school students, Prosocial Behavior Scale of middle school students, and uses SPSS17.0 statistical analysis software for data analysis. By doing this research, the author draws following conclusions:(1) Junior high school students show great level of prosocial behavior, and significant differences in gender and grade, because female students score significantly higher than boys, and students of grade two score significantly higher than students of grade one and grade three.(2) Junior high school students show great level of emotional intelligence, and no significant differences in grade but significant differences in gender, because female students score significantly higher than boys.(3) Most parents of junior high school students use positive parenting style, and there are no significant differences in parenting style of junior high school students. Compared with girls,mothers show more interference in boys than girls. There are significant differences in parenting style of junior high school students, and parents' favoritism dimension of students of grade two are higher than that of grade one and grade three. As grades increase, warmth and understanding of mothers in various dimensions also shows an increasing upward trend.(4)There are significant relations between emotional Intelligence, parenting style and prosocial behavior of middle school students.Emotional intelligence has positive correlations to prosocial behavior in various dimensions, warmth and understanding has positive correlations to prosocial behavior,parents' rejection to deny and parents' severe punishment and fathers' interference and protection has negative correlations to prosocial behavior, emotional intelligence has positive correlations to parents' warmth and understanding and fathers' overprotection.(5) Emotional intelligence of junior high students plays an intermediary role between warmth and understanding of parents' emotion and prosocial behavior.
