A Research On The Style Of Director In Kathryn Bigelow's War Film

On March 8,2010, Kathryn Bigelow accepted the Oscar statuette, becoming the first female director who won the Academy Award for Best Director. Winning the reward is undoubtedly the biggest affirmation to Kathryn Bigelow for her over thirty years'directing career.Western film academic circles always take Kathryn Bigelow as a unique case of female director to study. Her early films are usually summarized as the innovation of combining police and bandits, thriller and black movies and so on. And the standing point of her movies is the presentation of violence. The second part mainly introduces the formation of Kathryn Bigelow's directing styles and the path to her directing styles and her experience and films, which is the premise factor of the formation of her directing styles.The third part specifically analyzes Kathryn Bigelow's directing styles of her war films, beginning with four aspects-the character shaping, the narration, the sound and the shot, to express her characteristics when directing war films.
