Study On The Psychological Verbs Of The Imperial Examinations In The Tang Dynasty

The imperial examinations and poetry are two important factors that influence the society of Tang Dynasty.The study of the Poems About Imperial Examinations was numerous, but most of them focused on the study of the literature and culture,and less on their language studies.Using the Poems about Imperial Examinations of Tang Dynasty as Language Materials,this paper applies the method of statistics and analysis to study the problem.A total of 198 summed up the psychological verb, consisting of Monosyllabic Verbs 144 and 54 two-syllable verbs. By the descriptive method and the comparative method,we analyzed Lexical semantic system of psychological verbs,then concludes its characteristics.This paper is divided into six chapters:In the first chapter, we briefly introduce the current research status of Chinese psychological verbs,the study method, study significance and and source corpus of this paper.Chapter Two and Chapter Three defines and classifies the psychological verbs in the imperial examinations of the Tang Dynasty.We take the semantic as the main standard, and combining with the division of psychological process, divide the psychological verbs into emotional psychological verbs, cognitive psychology verbs and mental psychology verbs.In the fourth chapter, according to the principle of similar semantic, the psychological verbs of the imperial examinations in Tang Dynasty are divided into several small semantic fields.Considering the number and proportion of three kinds of psychological verbs, and Concerning Chinese traditional view about emotion, we selected ten categories of three groups of synonyms to analyze.In the fifth chapter, we study the combination of synonym and antonym in the poetry of the Tang Dynasty imperial examination,analysis its significance, types,characteristics and functions.Finally, we compare the psychological verbs in the imperial examinations of the Tang Dynasty with different objects.The paper compares the proportion of single and double syllables psychological verbs, the number of the three kinds psychological verbs and the number of new words and new meanings of psychological verbs.After that, we summarize the characteristics in quantity of psychological verbs in the TangDynasty imperial examinations.
