At the end of 19 th century, China was mired in internal and external problems,the greatest country in history was unable to maintain its prosperity from the surface,even it was rotten inside. At the significant instant, thousands of patriotic volunteers participate in actions to save the nation, also Wu Zongci was one of them. He insisted on the faith of ‘After the world's sorrow and joy'. He closely followed the footsteps of Sun Yat-sen, actively in law enforcement campaign, also he unwilling to compromise on the constitutional issues, eventually he made a contribution to the final victory of‘The Three Principles'. Wu Zongci was just a microcosm of the early republican constitutional reformers, in that turbulent era, there were numerous revolutionaries like him who insist on the exploration of seeking a brilliant future for China.Wu Zongci's standpoint on constitutional history was developed and matured in the process of exploration, he deeply realized the importance of the constitution as he followed Sun Yat-sen's footsteps to participate in the process of law enforcement campaign. As Mr.Sun said: ‘The constitution is the soul of a nation, as well as constitutionalism is the ultimate goal of the revolution.' The constitutional reform was the key point to a nation, only through build the constitution can complete the outcome of revolution in the form of law, also be possibility to achieve the aspirations of democracy. ‘The Republic of China Constitution in 1923' as the first officially constitution in modern China, it reflected the revolutionaries politics, further more, it mirrored all aspects of social reform. Wu Zongci witnessed those changes in modern China, he recorded the greatest issues what happened around 1923 as a reference for later scholars. Through making a research on Wu Zongci can we achieve a deeply understand over the aspects in modern China, and also own a certain significance for today's political development.This paper was divided into three parts, which included the introduction, the main body and the conclusion, meanwhile the main body included four parts. The first chapter described his experiences, the second chapter discussed the formation of his standpoint on constitutional history, which included the source and the developmentof his point, the third chapter described the compilation of his book; the last chapter returned to the historical evaluation of his view and made an objective assessment of his standpoint.
