There is a close internal relationship between rural residential settlement patterns and folk beliefs, the traditional rural residential settlement is an important perspective of perspective of folk beliefs, and play a role in the construction of rural residential structures. There is an interaction between the folk belief and the rural grass-roots organizations, thus forming the Chinese rural residential settlement in the form of Clan Villages. Rural residential settlement is a complete structure, which reflects the relationship between rural people and the residential environment. This paper is an attempt to study of folk religion as a kind of understanding rural residential settlements, the exploration of folk belief and rural residential form between the association and interaction rules, to the reconstruction of contemporary human settlements and villages in the rural areas to provide meaningful reference.This paper is mainly divided into five parts: the first part is the research significance and research status of this thesis, from the existing research, devoted to the study of folk beliefs or settlements in the relatively more research results, sort out the relationship between the between the two is insufficient; the second part is the related theoretical basis, mainly expounds the folk belief the theoretical foundation and the settlement related theory; the third part discusses the settlement of rural residence in Wuning area of the historical and cultural background; the fourth part is to analyze the form of rural residential settlements in Wuning area,mainly from the family, clan, religious and other aspects of the settlement and the structure of houses; the fifth part summarizes and analyses the influence of folk beliefs on rural dwellings settlement and play a role in the integration of rural settlements in the.
