A Study Of The "Te-di" "Te-yi" Type Of Modal Adverbs In Modern Chinese

This dissertation puts modern Chinese adverb“te-di”“te-yi” as the research object under the guidance of the three-plane theory. Based on the language facts, the dissertation makes detailed research with the method of combining form and meaning,description and explanation. In Reference of predecessors' achievements, we analyze the adverb as”te-di,te-yi” from the three-plane theory.Not only we found that "te-di,te-yi" common situation with adverbs and other adverbs, more importantly, to find their personality traits.This dissertation will be divided into five chapters,the concrete content roughly goes as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, including research objective,Significance and research object, research scope. Meanwhile we make a simple introduction of current situation on manner adverbs and adverb“te-di,te-yi”,that is the different understanding from different scholars.Finally we introduce Theory foundation and research methods,meanwhile introduce the sources of corpus.The second chapter describes the semantic feature of “te-di,te-yi”,we found its meaning feature of [+ person, + controllable, + disposal, +autonomous,+ stressed, +expectation,+ social activities],that indicates the subject has a strong will to implement the behavior of socially meaningful activities, and expect to achieve certain results.Some adverbs Semantic Orientation is more complex,according to corpus and function, We speculated that "te-di, te-yi" is pointing to the back of the verb. Then we analyzed the semantic function of "te-di, te-yi",they have their own unique characteristics,its biggest effect is to make the sentence has more "strong will",and also with commendatory color and highlights "social status" function.The third chapter analyzed the syntactic of "te-di,te-yi". Firstly, study combinations of "te-di, te-yi" and different verbs, summarize semantic features of the verb consistent with "te-di,te-yi" semantic features. Secondly, to explore the different co-existing conditions of "te-di,te-yi" with other adverbs and prepositional phrases, it come to "te-di,te-yi" have strong position.And they are closely related to the center word,usually near the center of the word.Finally, we discuss "te-di,te-yi" appears in the special sentence and in the case of fixed format "shi......de".Fourth chapter studies "te-di,te-yi" pragmatic,mainly Including its cohesive function,Second,study "te-di,te-yi" circumstances adverbs of class distribution,analysis they have a fixed sentence type distribution.and about the description of the type of its tone,It can be estimated as "definitely" and “expression”.The last part is the conclusion,summarizes of the main content of this article,briefly discusses the research results in this paper, And pointed out that the article also exist unresolved problems.
