After a long historical development,the Manchu people who are from first to last believed in Shamanism,and it is inherited.The Shaman is an important part of shamanism,In the northeast of China,there is a wide spread of the sacrificial ritual in the process of offering a single drum and accompanied by song and dance in the process of offering sacrifices to the people in the northeast of China.The forms of worship called “single drum”,commonly known as the “incense burning”,in the Northeast Folk and “dance hall”,“single drum dance”,“jump Whiteface God”,“sing the family to play”,“sing Yin and Yang Drama”,“sing le Jiatang”,“joy ancestors”and “fathers”and other various called predicate.Single drum in Manchu Shaman is not only a kind of musical instrument and props,but also the name of “incense” festival.Through research of Manchu shaman single drum type and performance forms,understand the Manchu shaman in the use of single drum in the history of using the change of shape and shape type,this ancient religion ritual activities in the form of mining.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part,the origin,function and the main distribution of the shaman are described.The second part,describe two different shapes of single drum--holding type single drum and the gripping type single drum and to make a distinction between the two shapes.The third part,describes the single drum in the sacrifice of three different types--Manchu to burn incense,Han bannermen to burn incense,the people of incense,and compares the Manchu army to burn incense and people burn incense.The fourth part describes the costumes,props and musical instruments,singing and dancing at the single drum performances in the form of performance and from the analysis of the artistic features of single drum.
