Comparative Research On Russian And Chinese Idioms With Botanical Names

Idiom is a uniform phenomenon in human language, as an important part and one of the core elements of the language world, the significance and value of its academic research and real application is of great importance. Since ancient times, plants are closely related to human's life and production, the idioms with botanical names have become an important part of daily communication through long-term practice and generations and reflect the national and cultural characteristics of both Russia and China vividly as an important approach to linguistic and thinking research.This paper focuses on the research on Russian and Chinese idioms with botanical names and makes comparison and analysis from four aspects including the amount, origin, structure and semantics to reveal the national cultural differences and characteristics between Russia and China hidden behind the idioms.The whole text is divided into five parts: Chapter 1 is the introduction which points out the research background and significance of the project, determines the research object, collects and summarizes the current research situation and trend of idioms with botanical names both in China and foreign countries, elaborates the research methods, key points, and the origin of the corpus; Chapter 2 is the part of theory which sorts the current research situation of domestic and foreign idiom theories, discusses the concept of idiom and elaborates the characteristics of Russian and Chinese idioms; Chapter 3 is the key point of the article that researches the idioms with botanical names from four aspects including the amount, structure, origin and semantics and analyzes the characteristics of such idioms; Chapter 4 uses the method of comparative analysis to analyze the amount, structure, origin and semantics and reveal the common and specific characters between Russian and Chinese idioms with botanical names; Chapter 5 is the conclusion.The comparative research on the Russian and Chinese idioms with botanical names is helpful to sort the internal linguistic characteristics of Russian and Chinese idioms and, at the same time, reveal the difference of the view of life, value, national mentality and religious belief between Russia and China and provide a new view and a better resource for better study in Russian.
