A Report On The Interpretation Of A Miracle Doctor In The Lecture Room

This interpretation report is based on one episode of the scientific and educational CCTV program, A Miracle Doctor, in “The Lecture Room”. The target audience are doctors participating in the activity of “The Light of Basic Medicine” launched by First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Tradition Chinese Medicine. In this report, there is an account of how the author finishes the interpretation. First, the author presents a brief description of the background and requirement of the interpreting task and the characteristics of the target audience. The preparation task includes the analysis of linguistic feature of interpreting material, the collection of relevant information and the process of making the glossary. In the third part, the author gives a summary in which the conclusion has been drawn in terms of the adopted theory and tactics and how the author use them to guide the interpreting task. The author also describes the successful translation cases and the typical mistakes made in the interpreting process and sums up the problems and the causes. At last, the author makes a description of the result of the interpreting task and does a self-assessment regarding the psychological quality of the author.
