This thesis is a reflective research report about my interpreting task at theseminar co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Northeast Normal University(NENU) for excellent young educators from the developing countries in Africa, in2013at NENU, Changchun. The text analysis of this thesis is based on thetranscription of the two-hour interpreting recording. With Zhong Weihe’s intra-textualfactors and extra-textual factors as the framework for quality criteria of interpreting, Isummarize my strong points and weak points in the interpreting performance, andthen analyze the reasons for the problems listed in the task. The purpose of thisreflective analysis is to provide some interpreting experiences for future practice so asto enhance the quality of interpretation.This report is made up of four chapters apart from Introduction and Conclusion.Chapter1describes my preparation for the Lecture Interpreting; Chapter2gives someknowledge about the Source Text; Chapter3is the main body of this thesis whichpresents the quality analysis of interpreting performance; Chapter4provides sometactics to improve interpreting quality.Through the reflective quality analysis of lecture interpreting performance, thisthesis aims to find out some strategies for improving the quality of lectureinterpretation, which may have some significant meanings to MTI students as well asbeginning interpreters.
