The Study Of Humor Language Based On The Deviation Theory

Humor language is one of the important means in comedy's performance. The playwright pays importance to the line arrangement in order to maximize the effect of humor. The language expression shows a sense of luster and humor by changing the rules subtly. Therefore, this thesis analyzes the production of humor in comedy based on the deviation theory.Based on the theory of zero-degree deviation proposed by Wang Xijie, what this paper discussed about the zero-degree in terms of the symbol, system of language and the norms of the language application, including language symbol system, paralanguage application, logic and pragmatics; the deviation in terms of the function and variation of language, language present all kinds of change in practice as a communicating and thinking tool.Studying humor language from following several aspects based on the theory of deviation by using the hot sitcom "love apartment" instance as corpus.First of all, analyze the deviation of humor language from the surface structure of language expression-glyph, pronunciation, vocabulary and syntax. The specific form as follows:the level of glyph including two glyphs similar, decompose glyph; the level of pronunciation including harmonics (close sound, same sound), XieYun, phonetic pun; the level of vocabulary including semantic pun, parody (parody words, parody text), the deviation of words color, in turn, word analysis, the deviation of idiomatic interpretation, idioms misuse and distortion; the level of syntax including the exchange of sequence, the deviation of word collocation, the deviation of language.Secondly, observe the humor language of "love apartment" from the deviation of common paralanguage forms. The chapter focuses on the multidimensional of humor language and the dynamic form of discourse. The specific forms divided into the deviation of the audio paralanguage forms including speed, pause, accent and tone; the deviation of the silent paralanguage forms including body movements, facial expressions, physical distance and clothes to dress up. There is another humor which made up of the audio paralanguage and the silent paralanguage. This type of humor involving a variety of paralanguage forms including volume, tone, mood, body movements, facial expressions, visual contact, clothes to dress up and so on.Then analyze the deviation of "love apartment" humor language from the logic system, respectively including the deviation of the concept about relation relationship and same relationship, the deviation of the principle of sufficient reason to argument logic, the deviation of contradiction.Finally, analyze the building of humorous way in "love apartment" from the presupposition and the cooperative principle in pragmatics. The humor language in the level of presupposition has the deviation of appropriateness and mutual knowledge about presupposition; the deviation of humor from the cooperative principle divided into:the deviation of qualitative criteria, the deviation of quantity standard, the deviation of relationship standard, the deviation of way standard. The deviation of quantity standard including ? the missing information causes deviation in understanding, ? the information redundancy generates humor.Studying humor language of "love apartment" based on the theory of deviation, the object of study including humor of verbal language and the humor which makes up of verbal language with paralanguage application.We understand the forms of humor language based on deviation are various, the key is how to find and classify by researching. There is a big characteristic in humor language based on the deviation which is "contrasting" that means there is a contrast between the original information and the new information after deviate. Pay attention to audiences' psychology-entertainment and new dissimilation is very significant in arranging successful humor language. If humor language based on the deviation can improve the enjoyment of language decoding and enhance the comedy expressive force of language. they will win the love of audiences. We also consider that the humor language based on the deviation plump the image of the figure in a unique style by analyzing the humor of "love apartment". It's very significant for the playwright to abundant the content and form of language expression and think about if the language suits the set of the character in making up humor language based on the deviation.Showing the humor of lines based on the deviation theory which comes from the goodwill and artistic creation to make the positive deviation of four worlds-language, culture, physical and mental. Hoping the deviation form of humorous dialogue in "love apartment" become theoretical and systematic arrangement by combining the language, logic, pragmatics knowledge, cognitive psychology and other disciplines, then providing a basis theory for a new generation of playwrights to create a new comedy; improving the audience's appreciation ability of sitcom and helping people understand and use humor effectively in actual communication by deepening audiences' cognition about the deviation of humor.
