With the promotion of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, more and more attention has been paid to the teaching of Chinese characters. However, Chinese learners think that Chinese characters are difficult to learn, and the teaching efficiency of Chinese characters is not obvious because of various reasons. How to improve the efficiency of the teaching of the course of Chinese characters and improve the Chinese learners' confidence in learning, is a major problem yet to be solved. This paper tries to take the teaching practice as the starting point, putthe 2413multiple-component characters of <the new Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus> and their components as the object of study, use Component-Based Method to teach multiple-component characters, and through a specific teaching case, provide certain reference for the multiple-component characters of the Component-Based teaching Method. Through this paper, the author hope that these attempts, will play a role in promoting the international Chinese teaching and research of Chinese characters.This paper is divided into five parts, respectively discusses the international Chinese teaching, and the multiple-component characters and their components of the teaching theory and practice research:The first chapter introduces the basis of this paper, the significance of this topic,the related research review, the innovation of this paper, research ideas, research methods and data description. Through the analysis of the research status of the multiple-component characters and their components, the author summed up some places that can be expanded in the teaching of Chinese characters, and determined the writing aspect of this article.In the second chapter, the concept of the multiple-component characters, basic components and composite components is determined, and then the number of multiple-component characters in <the new Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus> is analyzed, the classification of their components, the basic components and thecomposite components, respectively, do a statistical analysis of the number of components, components of the capacity, the length of components in the multiple-component characters and the combination mode of components, and finally screen out the 297 basic components and 384 composite components which are commonly used.In the third chapter, we from four aspects of shape, sound, meaning and commonly used degree, put forward the suggestions of using the Component-Based Method to teach multiple-component characters.The chapter four is divided into two sections,the first one says that, the overall design of using Component-Based Method to teach multiple-component characters is made from the whole, mainly from the curriculum setting, teaching objects, teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching principles.The second one starts from the actual multiple-component characters teaching, the Component-Based Method of teaching practice were studied. We mainly design a classroom teaching case, provide some theoretical and practical references for how to use the Component-Based Method for teaching multiple-component characters.The fifth chapter is the conclusion part which sums up the viewpoints of the text,and this study does not good enough that needs to perfect, and at last we put forward some suggestions for improvement.
