In recent years,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has been developing rapidly,but the teaching of Chinese characters has always been a weak link due to the complexity of Chinese characters.Based on the component teaching method,this paper divided the 600 words and 980 Chinese characters in the vocabulary list of HSK Syllabus1-3 word by word,and got 369 non-repeating parts.The split data show that the number of Chinese characters is smaller than that of Chinese characters,and the number of components obtained from the split increases linearly with the geometric increase of the number of Chinese characters.The structure types of Chinese characters are dominated by left and right structure and upper and lower structure,and the proportion of single characters in the primary stage of Learning Chinese characters is high.The length of components of Chinese characters is concentrated between 1-3,and the components have a strong ability to construct characters.The strongest component "mouth" is involved in the formation of 84 Chinese characters.The component teaching method takes components as the core.In the early stage of Chinese character teaching,through simple and high-frequency component teaching,it helps Chinese beginners to form a sense of Structure of Chinese characters and the ability to learn Chinese characters by themselves,laying a good foundation for later Chinese character learning.Finally,in view of the difficulties encountered in the component teaching method,such as the complexity of component names,combined with the split results and the teaching experience in overseas Confucius Institutes,it is suggested to reasonably arrange the teaching sequence,give priority to the learning of simple and high-frequency components,attach importance to single characters and weaken thecomponent names.This paper provides reasonable and useful principles for the division of components,and makes a sorting table of component components,which contributes to the practice of Teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
