A Pipa Suite "Rural Amorous" Study By Liu Dehai

Liu Dehai is contemporary pipa art master and the leader of this field,which made remarkable achievements in pipa playing,teaching creation,and theories.Since the 1950s,Liu Dehai began to have adapted the traditional pipa music and Chinese and foreign folk songs.After cooperation of the first pipa concerto " Grassland hero little sister”with Wu Zuqiang,Wang Yanqiao,then open up a new process of a series of the pipa creation,lute suites "life story","rural","religion","rural amorous " and so on more than 20 works.Pipa suite "rural amorous " created in 1996-2000,which developed a plenty new technique by Liu Dehai—"opposite front" method,for creation pipa suit of rural scenery,folk Vaudeville,recalled childhood anecdotes,with the tradition but to break the traditional "backward thinking",brought in a whole new auditory feast to us.Papers from the perspective of musicological analysis,through analysis and research of the pipa suite " rural amorous ",in skill,creative concept and aesthetic thought,a comprehensive grasp of the playing characteristics,features and artistic characteristics of the "rural amorous",summarized the rural amorous for the playing,the creation of the historic status of the pipa,a perfect interpretation of the concept to the creation of the inheritance and development of traditional ethnic music,thus contributing to our better performances of its works,teaching,and even inspire our creative passion,so that our new generation of pipa students followed the artistic footsteps of Liu Dehai,better development pipa career.Through the writing of this paper,hope to explore the pipa master Liu Dehai to the pipa creative concept,artistic pursuits and values of life,so as to explore the development direction of the creation of pipa and even national instrumental.
