Since 2008,Handan has created such three Pingdiao Laozi plays as Golden Millet Dream,Wu'an People and Getting on a Sedan Chair for the Third Time,of which Golden Millet Dream is sponsored by 2010-2011 Stage Art Excellent Works Project.Getting on a Sedan Chair for the Third Time participated in the 26th National Play Award Ceremony as an awarded play.Wu'an People is quite popular in local communities.The musical singing voice in the three plays is designed by Wan Zhenlin from Handan Pingdiao Laozi Troupe.In the design of the musical singing voices in the three plays,Wang Zhenlin combines Wu'an Pingdiao and Wu'an Laozi in one play,according to development of plots,description of characters and dramatization of atmosphere.Based on traditional patterns and tunes of Pingdiao and Laozi,Many kinds of musical performance,such as tune changes,tune extension,tune alternation,tune transformation,tune transfer,leading in singing,echoing in singing,antiphonal singing,modern popular singing,and even multi-voice,theme tune and aria,are employed in the play,which greatly enhance the musical effect of the traditional Chinese Opera,Pingdiao and Laozi.The play combines the unique features in the musical singing voice of traditional Pingdiao and Laozi with various musical forms,which offers a good example for inheriting and innovating non-material cultural heritage in our country.
