Analysis Of The Application Of Estill Voice Training In The Musical Song “When I Look At You”

Nowadays,the art form of Musicals is more and more popular all over the world,therefore,musical singing has been widely concerned.In this paper,I analyze and summarizes the successful experience gained from the tutor’s teaching of Estill voice training system in the song “when i look at you”during my one-year exchange study at the Oklahoma city university in the United States in the second year of postgraduate study.Estill voice training system was established in 1988 by American singing voice specialist Jo·Estill,this system explains how to use anatomy to show professional singing skills required by musical.The music《when i look at you》from the musical 《the scarlet pimpernel》is a classic work with a distinctive character,also become the representative work of musical works,therefore,I deeply analyze the creation background,singing skills and processing of this work in combination with Estill voice training system in the following article,hoping to provide some meager help for the learners who love the musical.
