Suicide is a topic that makes people fear, at present in China, college students' suicide rate is still at the higher level, and suicidal ideation is considers to be the important predictor of suicide. This research bases on the concept of suicidal ideation in generalization, comparing college students' life events, impulsivity, psychache and suicidal ideation's differences on demographic variables. This study discusses the relationship between life events, impulsivity, psychache and suicide ideation also. The findings of the study are as following:1.There is no difference in life events on the demographic variables; Impulsivity shows difference on the variables of gender, classification of suicide ideation, but there is no difference on the other demographic variables; Psychache shows difference on different family origin and the difference in the presence of suicide ideation, but there is no difference on the other demographic variables; Suicidal ideation shows difference on different family sources, there is no difference on the other demographic variables.2.The result of correlation and regression analysis indicating life events and its dimensions, impulsivity, psychache and suicidal ideation exists correction significantly, learning dimension, impulsivity and psychache can play predictive roles for suicidal ideation.3.Life events can predict suicidal ideation through the impulsivity and psychache; Impulsivity not only can directly predict suicidal ideation, also can predict suicidal ideation through the psychache; Impulsivity and psychache work as partial medium between life events and suicidal ideation.4.Structural equation model reveals that the model our study established is correct in theory.
