A Report On Geological And Mining English Translation Of Technical Report Of Green Standard Vanadium Resources Corperation CNSX Listing Statement

As a student majoring in MTI, it is of great necessity to do large amount of translation practice in order to improve his or her ability. This report is based on the translation practice of the E-C translation of technical report of Green Standard Vanadium Resources Corperation CNSX Listing Statement. The author has gained a lot by engaging in the translation project and considers that it is necessary to analyze relevant problems and summarize experiences to provide references and suggestions for the translation of similar texts.The studied text is closely related to geology and mining, such as geological analysis, mining information, resources exploration techniques and engineering, mining and processing of resources. The text is featured with highly professional knowledge and loads of information. First the author gives an introduction to the translation practice and the report. The second chapter is a brief introduction to the translation project, including the description of the project content, characteristic of the source text and the request of the client. The third chapter gives detailed description of the translation process which consists of preparations, process and post-editing of the translation. It is then followed by the lexical and syntactical analysis of the source text.In combination with words and sentences selected from the source text, the author analyzed the text from lexical level and syntactical level and discussed the translation methods with the application of kernel sentence analysis. The final chapter is a summary of the whole report and further emphasized relevant issues in the translation of similar texts for which the author endeavors to provide experiences and feasible suggestions.
