A Study Of Job 42

Job 42 is the last chapter of the book, in this part, when such many complex themes should have result to their answers, while every plot seems to lead readers to a even more blur condition. There is a great tension between the mysterious silence of Job and the happy ending after that. While the difficulties the text itself causes also lead the charm to it. The characteristics of the structure and the content of the text leads always cause many dispute of the scholars, here I will mainly fallow the way of textual interpretation which nowadays scholars tend, put the text in its current form which believed to meaning a lot, therefore my article will do my research with the respect the diversity of the text. In 2-6 which written in poetry, the speech by Job doesn't work for communication, while in 7-17, divine centered, written in prose, we can find a possibility of a real Job. Intentionally or unintentionally, the writer left room for human. Though it's impossible for us to find out the actual person and event of Job, under the writing form of mythology, the experience by Job is real and mysterious. At last, this article will follow the idea of William James to research the meaning of suffering.
