The Symbolized Expression Of Individual Experience Abstract

From the influence of the early Soviet Union to the intervention of western aesthetics after the reform and opening up,the thinking of China's contemporary art changed from the aesthetic mainstream of figurative realism to the conception expression.Meanwhile,with the development of technology,art forms such as images and devices are becoming more and more common.Accordingly,the exploration and research on material techniques are also deepening continuously.This thesis takes Shang Yang's artistic creation as the entry point because his artistic experience has spanned more than half a century,which is closely related to the era.Shang Yang experienced a series of important events,such as the Anti-Japanese War,the Cultural Revolution,and the reform and opening up,whose complex experience gave him a deep era mark.His artistic creation reflects the change of artistic thinking under the social changes in China in recent decades.Therefore,the value of an artist's case study has long transcended his own artistic value.This thesis takes the artist's case study as the main clue,combines the significant semiotic theory in the contemporary art context,ponders the symbolization expression in the current art context,and research deeply on the artist's creation course.By analyzing Shang Yang's different artistic creation style as well as his aesthetic spirit from the Cultural Revolution to the present,this thesis makes an attempt to find a solution for the current artistic dilemma,discover the visual text connection between the memory and the survival experience of the individual survival experience and the graphic representation in the artistic pictures,and put forward many new mentalities for the current artistic creation boldly.The first chapter of this thesis is the introduction,which introduces this subject's objective and current research situation;the second chapter briefly expounds the definition and application of "symbol and symbolization" in the contemporary art context;the third chapter researches on Shang Yang's representative works to seek the value orientation of his artistic practice at different stages;the fourth chapter is the focus of this thesis,which clarifies the relationship between the individual experience and the symbolic expression in combination with the individual artist's survival experience to conduct an analysis on "emotion and form";the fifth chapter reviews the inspiration and influence of Shang Yang's artistic creation ideas on the author and the young creators through combing the author's own artistic practice;the sixth chapter is the summary.In the context of the contemporary art creation,the artists' schemata transformation is the illogical independent selection of their subjective consciousness.In Shang Yang's art,although there are earth-shaking changes in the form of the early traditional realism and the later reproducible fragmented image,we can still understand the directionality of his art —understanding the eastern and western cultural spirit and core deeply,and establishing his own cultural identity in the context of globalization.The creation of contemporary art(especially painting on the shelf)is no longer just a stage of technique,conception,style or form,and there is "no more painting" After Pop Art,which is not only a wake-up call,but also tells us that the art needs to be moved forward,and we must break the existing cognition to seek new thinking modes..
