The Study Of The Relation Between Song Poetry And Medicinal Materials

On the basis of Tang poetry,the Song dynasty poetry has further development which becomes more closer to people's Daily life.The Whole Song Poetry retains a large number of poems about medicinal materials.This paper mainly refers to Song poetry as the main materials in order to review the medicine industry of song dynasty and analyse the reason why some Song dynasty poets pay attention to medicinal materials.There are three basic sources of the medicinal materials mentioned in Song poetry,namely natural acquisition,artificial cultivation,overseas input and first two are the primary sources.Collecting and planting are more common ane the scale is more considerable. Scholar-bureaucrat, Taoist, hermit,Buddhist monks, and herbalist not only gather wild herb,but also cultivate herb in their own special or spare garden.Almost all classes in Song dynasty take part in the processing of medicinal materials,such as washing, drying, storing and so on, so the processing occupies an important position in daily life.The medicine circulation mainly relys on drug market,herbal medicine shop and some flexiable place,especially the drug market and herbal medicine shop are fully embodied in the Song poetry.There are many different kinds of medicinal materials,this paper simply introduces the specified medicinal herbs in the song poetry.The medicinal materials penetrate into the various aspects of people's life,they are mainly used in the treatment of diseases,nourishing of life, beauty and diet and also some aromatic drug are used for bathing and buildings in Song dynasty. The reason why Song dynasty poets pay close attention to the medicinal materials are social and personal factors. The social factors include the popularity of printing, ruler's emphasis,and some strong policys.The individual factors are the lack of medical resourcestheir own or family illness, mistrust of the doctors and the influence of Confucianism.
