| In recent years, with the driving force of China-ASAN Free Trade Area, China-ASEAN bilateral tourism has developed rapidly. We have become important overseas market for each other. The 1st China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition was hold from May 29th to May 31st of 2015 in Guilin, Guangxi. As the gust country of the exhibition, Brunei held a tourism seminar on the first day to promote Brunei tourism and bilateral tourism development.This paper conducts a detailed analysis of an English to Chinese interpreting in the Brunei Tourism Seminar of 2015 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition, especially on pre-task preparation, interpreting quality,interpreting skills and state of mind. This paper composes five parts, covering task introduction, preparation before interpreting, problems analysis, self-assessment and general conclusion. It is discussed in detail for typical problems caused by Brunei English accent. The paper expounds the importance of deverbalization in above situation. Problems and solutions in this practice will be mainly illustrated and analyzed. In addition, a detailed summary and suggestions will be given in accordance with the problems in self assessment chapter. The report is expected to be useful for author’s further interpreting study and Brunei tourism interpreting. |
