February 23,1929,the first conference of the National Board of Health was held in Nanking,which be the symbol of the National Board of Health's establishion.April 15,1931,as the deliberative organ of the Ministry of Public Health,it had passed out of existence because the government agency decided to restructur and cut it.Although the National Board of Health just work 2 years actually,it as the first one health facility of China in the total meaning,acted the essential role in the Chinese public health system,which brings great influences for the later generations.This article is divided into four chapters,specific content as follows: The first chaper mainly introduce the background and mandatory before the National Board of Health set up from urban and rural health situation,national public health awareness,health administrative authority system in our country,the awakening of consciousness of the race of the recent medical elites to the introduction of the great powers' health management mechanism.The chaper two and chaper three not only narrate the set up and organization situation of the National Board of Health,but also the activities,including building the medical administration system,banning drugs,carrying out the cared and educated policies,holding health activities,preventing of epidemic diseases,collecting data for health,advocating public health and health education.Especially the piece of the abolition of traditional Chinese medicine in 1929 in the most detailed.The chaper four investigates the role of the National Board of Health in history,which includes the national health consciousness,reshaping the traditional Chinese medicine system and medical civilian three sides.And evaluate it limitations from the financial,the current political situation to the health policy effect.
