Wangzhuo And His Prose Creation Research

Wang Zhuo was one of the most active writers of Tongcheng School in the Qianlong and Jiaqing period,he was diligent in writing for his whole life,and created many excellent literary works.People at that time said that Wang Zhuo's poems were calm and elegant,“outstanding and famous”,and said that his articles were originated from Fang and Wang,but did not loss his own characteristics and “had his own style”.Therefore,Wang Zhuo was pretty famous at that time,his articles were also highly regarded by famous literary persons like Zhang Huiyan,Wu Ding,Jin Bang and so on.While the attention from the educational circles was abnormally shorted and also lacking of a comprehensive knowledge on Wang Zhuo's classical prose thought and artistic style,until now there is no special book or thesis on this.Actually,Wang Zhuo changed with the times,on one hand,he abide by the Tongcheng disciplines,set Neo-Confucianism as his research foundation,paid attention to mind cultivation,set Yi-Fa as his creative guidance,therefore,his articles were natural and peaceful,concise and elegant,his historical and biographical articles were deeply influenced by essence of Tongcheng School,that was not to write normal things,but could use petty language to explain life: another hand was aiming at the social crisis and ivory-towered learning style to reemphasize the causes and functions of articles,under the historical background of the thrive of parallel prose,with an open inclusive attitude to use the rhythmic beauty and embellishments in writing into the prose creation to pursue the form beauty of the articles,to make the article present the tendency of rhetoric is better than theory.For the Tongcheng School in the Qianlong and Jiaqing period,Wang Zhuo's endeavors had the function of inheriting the past and ushering in the future,had very important significance on the inheritance and developmentof the Tongcheng School.
