A Report On The C-E Translation Of Labor Contract Law Of People's Republic Of China

With China's entry into the WTO and the further of reform and opening up,China is playing an increasingly important role in world economy. The increase in foreign investment makes the legal translation all the more necessary to both foreign and Chinese businesses. The C-E translation of Labor Contract Law of People's Republic of China can not only help the foreign investors to understand Chinese laws and policies, but also protect Chinese workers' legal rights and interests.Based on the translation of specific provisions of Labor Contract Law of People's Republic of China, this thesis analyses the major issues and difficulties in the process of translation, and puts forward detailed translation skills in terms of lexicon, syntactic and cultural levels, etc. By analyzing the differences between Chinese and English in legal language, the thesis discusses that the legal translation should abide by the principles of accuracy, consistency and conciseness, and target at faithfulness, precision and exactness.
