This is a translation project report on the fourth lecture of Ten Lectures on the Sociology of Organizations written by Zhou Xueguang, a well-known Chinese sociologist engaged in research work in the field of the sociology of organizations and social stratification. This academic work includes Zhou Xueguang's profound discussion on research thought, research logic, research methods and many other topics in the field of the sociology of organizations. The original text is authoritative in the filed of sociology, which has high academic value.Based on Skopos Theory, this thesis analyzes translation difficulties in terms of words selection, terminology, quotations and long sentences. This thesis summarizes the corresponding translation techniques and strategies and concludes the findings and limitations through this translation practice. In terms of words selection, cultural background and language expression of both source languages and target languages are taken into full account for faithful translation. When translating sociology terminologies, this thesis follows the principle of accuracy, transparency, monosemy, uniformity, conventionality and simplicity. In terms of quotations translation, consulting relevant foreign literature is superior to doing back-translation. After identifying the strong internal logical relation, division is adopted to translate complex sentences.
