With the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language research, it has been changed from focusing on grammer and ignoring ilexical to attaching great importance to vocabulary teaching. Gradually, vocabulary teaching become an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.However, at present most of the textbooks and teachers use the “word-based standard” teaching method, according to the western linguistics theory.Is there any teaching method that conform to the Chinese characteristics? How to improve the efficiency of second language learners' vocabulary learning?My point of view: Morpheme is the key to study Chinese. Morpheme teaching method can go to the inside of the words deeply and analysis the meaning of the words. Students can combine the sound?the form and the meaning together instead of memorize mechanically.This paper includes four parts, each part is as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, includes the reason of choosing this subject?the significance of the subject and the resent research situation.The second chapter talk about how to defines the morpheme and analyzes the relationship between the morphemes and characters, the relationship between the morphemes and the words. Next illustrates the theoretical basis of morpheme teaching method and the meaning of morpheme teaching method.The third chapter put forward two basic modes of morpheme teaching:using morpheme to explain words and using morpheme to put the similar words together.The last chapter introduce the specific ways of morpheme teaching in my own teaching experience. Providing four methods of morpheme in vocabulary teaching, including: explaining new words, guessing the unknown words in reading comprehension, differentiating nearly righteousness and reviewing the learned vocabulary.
