With the acceleration of China's economic development process, the influence of Chinese is increasing around the world. Since ancient times, China and Italy have established the relations. In recent years, there are more and more Italian students are interested in learning Chinese, at the same time their Chinese has been continuously improving. However, as the Italian characters are quite different from the Chinese characters, the learning of Chinese characters have been one of the most difficult points for the Italian students. On the other hand, Chinese characters teaching has always been a difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language which directly restricts the realization of the overall effect of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.I was the Chinese volunteer teachers of Confucius Institute in Pisa, during my teaching period, I have collected the homework and test papers of students to analysis their errors of Chinese characters. We also summed up the Chinese character writing error types by relevant classification standards. In the end, we summarize the reasons for the errors caused by these Chinese characters, and put forward the corresponding teaching strategies.This thesis includes five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the origin of this study, the significance of the study and the current situation of the research. The status and achievements of Chinese characters, teaching and learning of Chinese characters,the errors analysis of Chinese characters and the research status and achievements are reviewed. It is pointed out that the current Chinese characters teaching in Italy,especially for the students in Italy is still not enough.The second chapter is the main part of this paper, which introduces the object the source of the corpus and the methods of investigation. For error definition of the theoretical basis and the specific operation are described, we divided the Italian students writing errors into stroke errors, strokes partial error and the components of the bias. Will stroke the errors of concrete is divided into: Pencil bias, pen to bias, the combination of strokes errors and the number of strokes of the errors, parts of the errors of concrete is divided into: change bias, or bias, deformation and displacement error and mixture ratio with errors. For each small class of errors were described and statistics.The third chapter mainly analyzes the reasons of the errors of Chinese characters written of Italian students. The reasons include the characteristics of Chinese characters,the teaching of Chinese characters and the factors of students. We also used literature research, questionnaire survey and data analysis to help our analysis.The fourth chapter is about teaching solutions. The solutions are based on the Italian students of Chinese characters writing errors and their causes.The fifth chapter is the reflection and summary of this paper.This paper is based on the teaching dates, the first-hand information help us to do the description, classification and induction of the errors of Chinese characters written of Italian students. We also pay attention to the previous research results and the author's personal experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. We hope the teaching solutions would like improve the Italian students memorizing Chinese characters and the writing skills. What is more, we hope they also would provide the reference for Chinese characters' teaching in Italy.
