With the increasingly worldwide popularity of animation, Adobe Flash has been used to generate animation by numerous amateurs. In order to help these amateurs,distance education has become the preferred method of teaching in some universities and training institutions. So the supporting systems of distance education, like the online examination system and automatic scoring system, emerge as the times require.According to the training requirements of animation design,a distance education system with automatic scoring has been developed on the basis of C/S mode. C++ and Mysql Server are employed as the development tools. Firstly, the demand analysis has been made, referred to software engineering methods. The overall design of this system is shown in the form of organization chart. Then the UI and database schemas of six subsystems have been designed respectively, including authentication model, Q&A model, online-exam model, onlinelearning model, curriculum management model and assignment management model.Since automatic marking for Flash designs is one of the challenges at present, Canny Operator and Asift Algorithm have been both employed to process the key frames of images. Then the Flash animations are analyzed with the use of JSFL parser. Finally, the overall scores could be calculated. According to the test results, the precision of automatic scoring system has been effectively enhanced.
