The internship project in Beijing Universal UEI Education Technology Co. Ltd is the UEIOnline website, which contains tasks related to translating, editing and technical solution. Therefore, translating competence, editing ability, technical competence and communication ability are required during the internship. Due to diverse translation requirements, different translation strategies should be adopted for various texts, such as website, brochure, PPT, teaching material and WeChat article. Text editing of Study Abroad PPT and “Fun English” column, designing exercises for online courses, collecting admission requirements of American universities are concerned with editing abilities – to write, edit or modify articles in both languages. Tasks such as PowerPoint designing, website maintenance and video & audio editing are related to technical competence, which demands proper use of software and good operation of the website system. Communication with technicians and other colleagues in group meeting and system running report shows the significance of communication ability, and contributes to the working quality and efficiency.According to the MTI Education Program by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, MTI is a professional master's program and MTI students should adapt to various needs in the field of language services. Therefore, the qualifications in this project are the reflection of the professional adaptability, which falls into three aspects: language service competence(translating competence and editing ability), technical competence and communication ability.
