| Writing is one of the basic skills in language learning. According to the National English Curriculum Standards for Common Senior High School(2013), students in grade two of senior high school are expected to make a simple description, with words and graphics, to express their opinions, to fill in the related charts, and to do simple translation works in English writing. But the English writing ability of high school students is not satisfying. The English writing teaching with teacher feedback as a core part is commonly in use, but peer feedback is often overlooked. Although many researchers believe that peer feedback has a lot of disadvantages, lots of studies have shown that trained peer feedback has an irreplaceable role. The author chose students from two parallel classes of senior two in Dong’ E No.1 high school as the research subjects. The experiment lasted for one semester. First, a pre-questionnaire was conducted to analyze the current situation of high school English writing. Second, an experiment was carried out. The experimental class adopted the integration of the teacher feedback and peer feedback, while the control class adopted the traditional teacher feedback. By comparing scores of these two classes from vertical and horizontal aspects, the author made a conclusion: the integration of teacher feedback and peer feedback can improve the level of students’ English writing. Third, a post-questionnaire and an interview were conducted, which showed that students hold a positive attitude toward ability and interest in English writing, so as to further consolidate the effect of this experiment. After the experiment was completed, all data were collected and analyzed. The results can be concluded: students in the CC had made improvement, while students in the EC had made great improvement. Compared with traditional teacher feedback, students tend to adopt the integration of teacher feedback and peer feedback. Finally, according to the study, the author made some suggestions about English writing to senior high school from teachers and student. Besides that, the author also pointed out the limitations and prospects for future research. |
