When "the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road" was put forward, Xinjiang has become the core area of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" which is the foundation of Chinese Unicom road. And the rail transport is the key of transportation in Xinjiang. Hami as the "East Gate", located in the Asia-Europe abdomen, Central and West Asia within the scope of the economic circle in of Xinjiang, because of its unique geographical advantages, Xinjiang's second largest railway hub will be built.Hami is the ancient Silk Road transfer station, and it is also in the Central of Asia. On December 30, 1959, Lan-Xin Railway laying into the territory of Hami which reflecting that Hami's railway officially entered the new era.This paper is divided into five sections: research status, historical position, the main role in the development trend, constraints analysis and research, historical of Hami railway construction and development, and it is focusing on exploring Hami Railway History achievements and future developments.Since the founding of Hami railway construction has made great achievements. Lan-Xin Railway and the construction of new double-track railway rewriting the history of Xinjiang, it not only supports convince of the exchanges in goods in mainland, but also help to develop Hamilton's economic and strengthened connections around the rest area of the Hami. Moreover, the “Harrow” railway meet the development requirements of Lop Nur potash, potash solution to the border passage problems, and it effectively promotes the development of Xinjiang conversion of superior resources and tourism resources. Lan-xin new high-speed rail especially improve the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. Meanwhile, it promotes China opening to the West and the Eurasian country, which has great significance for the construction of the new “Silk Road Economic Belt”. With the rise of industrial enterprises in Hami railway, a number of large industrial enterprises in order to facilitate the transport of goods itself, they started to invest in the construction of links Lan-xin railway trunk dedicated or dedicated railway line, to protect the transportation needs of the enterprise itself.Hami has both advantages and disadvantages in the area of railway development. it has made great breakthroughs and huge development potential, while the regional road network still exist, such as the road network covering the breadth and depth of accessibility is not enough, a single channel Foreign railway, road network skeleton has not yet formed, and the lack of mobility and flexibility on the road network.
