Tie Ning’s literary creation distinguishes among the contemporary literary arena because of her variety style, especially famous for her style changes from the novel named〈Oh, Hornsey〉(1982) to the long novel named 〈the rose door〉(1988). The great difference between the two works which are created in the same age and the great saltation from the transition stimulate we to think and explore the reasons to the change and the significance it may bring.The research achievements of Tie Nings’ style changes in 80 s, but I think it is still necessary to continue to explore this thesis. On one hand, the concrete process of the changing and the style characteristic need to be combed systematically. On the other, the reason analysis need to be demonstration and improved. And lastly there are still shortcomings in exploring the significance of the style change. Applying the method of qualitative and quantitative, analysis and synthesis, this article focus on the representations and the whole novel writing process from the year of 1975 to 1989, besides the introduction and the epilogue, this article is divided into three chapters.To make a brief introduction about the current research status, raise the topic among the shortcomings of the previous studies, and make a brief introduction about the representations of the writing styles is what the introduction of this paper will state.The first chapter discusses the changing process of the writing styles and the representations of it. Focusing on the novel writing in both the early 80’s(1975-1984) and the mid-to late period(1985-1989), and taking the subject matter, the language, the overall style, the characters, the plot structure, and the theme as the narrative perspective, this article will explore the change and the representations of the writing styles and sum up the writing style, which was mainly "fresh “and "bright" with little "dignified" in the early 1980 s and changed into "dignified" completely in the mid-to late 1980 s. In this way, the narrative clue of the writing styles change from "fresh" to "dignified" will be informed.The second chapter, discuss the reasons for the change of the writing style. Discuss the causes of the “fresh” style in Tie Ning’s early 80’s and the "dignified" style in mid-to late 80’s, by both subjective and objective factors, for the former; it can be the experience, personality, intelligence, reading, teacher-student relationship, the writing idea, the trend of thought in literature.The third chapter, the significance of Tie Ning’s style change in 80s’. Figure out the influence respectively the writing style’s changing may bring on both the writer’s personal creation and contemporary literary, and state mainly from the following aspects: help form the unique creative personality, accord with the overall trend of the literary creation, be incorporated into the writing context of the feminism, helpshape the classic literature image and enrich the reading and criticism vision.The conclusion part is the summary and extension of the main points of this paper. This article focus on the changing of the writing style novels in the 80 s, and comes to the conclusion that the writing style of Tie Ning’s works in 80s’ changes " fresh " to the " cold "; Secondly, the formation of Tie Ning early "fresh" style and the late "cold" style relate to the both the external factors and internal factors. Finally, the change of Tie Ning’s wrting stye in the 1980 s plays an important significance to many aspects, such as forging the writer’s unique personality, expanding the reading and criticism vision, and so on.
