New Type Of National Musical Instruments Ding Di Research

Ding Di is a national flute with a structure similar to the Chinese character \ "ding\", which is constituted by two parts(crossing part by tube cone, vertical part by mouthpiece) together. It is a wonderful crystallization coming from the interaction between the ancient and advanced modern instrumental shape.Inspired by national wind instrument-mouth flute, and experienced almost twelve years of hard exploration,the inventors have developed a new modern national wind instrument with a total 56 keys going through from high, medium to low three different toning areas, with variable diameter and deflection shape. It has experienced the germination, development and mature period during the process of the instrument development, until 2013 turn out to be the industrialized production and becoming popularity gradually. It is a successful example of transmission and development for the ancient non-material cultural heritage to the living practical condition. This new kind modern instrument while with ancient wind shape-- \ " one tube with double flute\" has gained the general recognition of the music industry peers and the public because of its cheap price, easy quality to learn, broad range with stable intonation, and perfect characteristics such as shape ect, and is believed will have a good development prospect in the futureThis paper starts with the innovation of the new-type national wind instruments Ding Di as the breakthrough point, including the origin shape of this instrument and mentioning the details in the course of its development. Through the analysis it also demonstrates the feasibility of instrument inheriting in the process of development in the future by the analysis of adaptation of the Chinese and foreign works and the original national works in concrete techniques of Ding Di playing.The author analyzed and summarized the whole process of the development from nothing of Ding Di and the significance and value of itself by the endeavor in collecting, recording, organizing and the researching as much as possible. The conclusion is Ding Di, as a fruit to satisfy the needs of the contemporary reform and development of national musical instrument,is a achievable new ethnic Musical Instruments.
