| Jules Demersseman(January 9,1833--December 1,1866)was a French composer and flute player of the romantic period.He produced a large number of flute works during his short life."Concert Solo No.6" is one of his most famous flute music.He was not as famous as Chopin,Liszt,Wagner,etc,but had high attainments in the flute.Such a good musician is little-known,which is also the original intention of the author to study this work.This article will be elaborated in three parts on Jules Demersseman and its flute song,"The Concert Solo No.6".The first part is a brief introduction of Jules Demersseman’s personal experience and the creative environment at that time.Combined with the development process of the flute,the instruments used in the music are explained.The 19th-century French five-key flute used by composers and the modern Bm system flute used today are introduced.The second part analyzes the concert Solo No.6 from the perspective of harmony and music structure.In the third part,the flute performance techniques are systematically analyzed,and some flute practice methods are summarized.Then the two different flutes are played for comparison,In this way,we can have a deeper understanding of the composer’s inner expression intention,feel the charm of the music at that time,and provide inspiration for us to play the modern flute.Through this article deepens the author’s understanding of the work and the consolidation of the performance techniques.It is hoped that more flute lovers or professional players can know more about the composer and this work and make a reference for further improving the flute playing technology. |
