Typological Analysis Of The North Dynasties Pottery And Porcelain Vessels

From Wei-Jin and Sixteen Kingdoms to Sui and Tang dynasties,the Northern dynasties are the key periods.During the nearly two hundred years,the northern territories always suffer from the chaos of war,while the mixture of the North and the South is unprecedentedly prosperous,and the communication between the East and the West is very frequent.A large amount of ceramic wareisunearthed in the relics of graves and town sites,and their quantity as well as the exquisite degree cannot be ignored especially in Shanxi,Henan,and Hebei provinces.This paper is to focus on tombs excavated material,and around the following three clues.Firstly,it discusses the development situation of ceramic in north territories,puts emphasis on the analysis of main types of the artifacts in the north territories and does classification analysis,as well as classifies the porcelain ware with clear sequence of the Northern Wei period in Shanxi territory.Secondly,it compares the coexisting types of ceramics of the same time from different territories,and summarizes the development trend of the main body.Thirdly,it makes dissection analysis on several special artifacts,and briefly discusses the use and origin of the artifacts.Moreover,it briefly lists and analyses the main ornaments in the Northern dynasties.Thispaper can be divided into four parts:The first chapter illustrates the survey of discovery and research,briefly sketches the research objects and research methods,and briefly overviews the research status.The second and third chapters are the basic part of this paper;they respectively and objectively describe and compare the artifacts of different territories in the north horizontally and vertically.And it summarizes the evolution of all kinds of artifacts in the third chapter.The fourth chapter is the epilogue of this paper.
