Research On The Ecological Ethics Thought Of Wang Yangming's "All Things In One"

Wang Yangming was a famous thinker in the Ming Dynasty.His "Mind Thought"system absorbed the wisdom of Buddhism and Taoism and successfully overcame the disadvantages of Zhu's Neo-Confucianism.Wang Yangming creatively developed the traditional confucianism,his"all things in one"as the basic spirit of Wang's philosophy gained a wide consensus from Yangming himself,his disciples and foreign experts who studied on it.In the Song Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty,New-Confucians extended the moral concern to the universe,which reflected a kind of ecological humanism spirit.Wang's thought of "all things in one" was based on this background,which contains profound wisdom of ecological ethics.Wang 's "all things in one"theory contains multiple levels of meaning.This thesis will follow the internal logic of it and divided it into four parts to elaborate the ecological value,which can provide reference for contemporary ecological ethics and the construction of socialist ecological civilization in China.The first part is the prolegomenon.It mainly introduce the logic routine of Wang's philosophy and the realistic background of the research on the ecological ethics thought of "all things in one".The logical starting point of Wang's philosophy is pursuit of sage personality,the main content of "all things in one"contains ontology,realm and efforts theory.The three parts constitutes an organic whole."All things in one"was the concrete embodiment of'harmony between man and nature",which constituted a part of the Confucian ecological turning.Because of the difference from the traditional western dualistic way of thinking,it can provide a way for the solution of the current ecological crisis and the development of ecological ethics.In the second part,it introduces the ecological value contained in the ontology foundation of'all things in one".From the perspective of cosmology,"everything in the circulation of Qi",which embodies a kind of ecological organic whole concept.From the view of human nature,conscience appear as a kind of ecological conscience.It comes from the existence structure of "self-world",shows as for all the "sympathy",and demonstrated by the"body"experience.In the third part,the paper discusses two kinds of ecological state and the efforts theory of realizing the realm of "all things in one".The Confucian realm "all things in one"contains" spiritual pleasure in one" and" benevolence in one",respectively,showing the ecological aesthetic realm and the ecological moral realm.The two realms contain each other,which reflects the characteristics of the integration of Chinese traditional aesthetics and ethics.The efforts theory of "all things in one" is to highlight the simple and thrifty life attitude,the unity of knowledge and practice of ecological observe and reasonably with ecological principles.The fourth part discusses the historical limitations and realistic enlightenment of "all things in one".It is concluded that,in the face of the traditional thinking,we should make dialectical choices.The traditional ecological wisdom requires a contemporary transformation in service for reality,through combining with the existing scientific ideas,to provide wisdom for the ecological crisis and the construction of socialist ecological civilization.
