What we research in this paper is the Harbin Institute of Art,including the school's background,system,teaching and social activities,etc.The author attempts to objectively evaluate and summarize the content through literature survey and historical research.The school construction could be interpreted horizontally and vertically from the necessity of political reform,the characteristics of the higher education reform and the regional arts development,as well as the two dimensions of time and space.Harbin Institute of Art was established in 1958,a time that called nationwide "Education Revolution".College education system and teaching system has been modeled on the Soviet Union in the form of a basic finalized design,in which China education began to try out of Soviet education mode.For many years,however,the blind worship of many places had been formed.Harbin synchronized with the national education reform at the same time,but in the consistent with other regions,it has an obvious regional differences due to the regional characteristics.Art has its own unique development orbit in Harbin,and the Harbin Institute of Art is doomed to be different in the circumstances of construction.As its organization form is basically coincide with the other types of universities,however,the majority staffs is " right-deviationist " or " right wing ",most of the " right wing " teachers were withheld to Harbin Institute of Art from down into Heilongjiang province,which was extremely rare under the historical background.They are accepted by Harbin Institute of Art and at the mean time accomplished Harbin Institute of Art.Finally,based on the research of teaching effectiveness of Harbin Institute of Art,it is easy to find that the student's yield is very high although its existence time is not long.Which could account for Harbin Institute of Art is maintaining its own artistic within short time while fulfilling the social cohesion.To be sure,Harbin Institute of Art has make a great contribution to the society.In addition,it reflects Harbin's art direction at that time,policy of literature and the relationship between national culture and development strategy.As to what specific effect it has on the artistic development of Harbin,it will be analyzed one by one in the article.
