With the development of China's industrialization, the number of migrant workers grows rapidly and the population structure of migrant workers has changed significantly. The new generation migrant workers become the core of migrant workers.14 employees of Foxconn Committed suicide by jumping off a building in 2010,caused the attention of the whole society to the new generation migrant workers and the mental health of the new generation migrant workers have also been more and more attention from the researchers. In the empirical study,it was found that new generation migrant workers experience more depression than city residents. Some of the new migrant workers were left-behind children and they may differ from the migrant workers with no left-behind experience. Therefore,we explore the relationship between new generation migrant workers' perceived control and the depression, compare the mental health of new generation migrant workers with or without lef-behind experience. We expect to provide theoretical reference and practical advice for the mental health of new generation migrant workers. In the study,we revised perceived control questionnaire and used it combining with self-rating depressive scale to do the survey research of 270 new generation migrant workers in Pearl River Delta and Changjiang Delta in China, investigating the relationship between new generation migrant workers' perceived control and the depression, compare the perceived control and depression of new generation migrant workers with or without left-behind experience.Afterwards,we interviewed the 2 new generation migrant workers who have left behind experience, and presents the connotation of the left behind experience by the way of subjective narrations, and explores the relationship between the left behind experience and depression. The results show that the perceived control of the new generation migrant workers affects their depression and there are significant differences of depression but not perceived control between the new generation migrant workers in terms of the left-behind experience. The following are main conclusions:1.The perceived control of the new generation migrant workers can negatively predict depression.2.new generation migrant workers with left-behind experience have more depression than that without left-behind experience.3.The left-behind experience have indirect correlation to the depression of new generation migrant workers.
