In ancient China,there was a phenomenon of buying and selling.South of the Five Ridges area of the Tang Dynasty belonged to trafficking in the hardest hit,the main types of human trafficking including slightly to sell,mortgage,slaves,prisoners of war and tribute etc..It is the deep cause of the problems,poor living environment in the south of the Five Ridges area as a result of low productivity,coupled with the press of a multitude of names exorbitant tax levies,people unable to bear the taxes,forced to sell one's children.On the other hand,due to the local luxury leaders and local officials coveted huge profits of human trafficking,direct participation or indirect acquiescence in the social situation of the buying and selling of the population trend.The central government and a person with breadth of vision made many efforts to curb the phenomenon of trafficking in south of the Five Ridges,considerable progress has been made in certain areas and in certain period,produced positive social effects,contribute to the south of the Five Ridges area of refinement,accelerate its social development process.Through the direct fight against judges and local people,but also enhance the central government's control over South of the Five Ridges,is conducive to strengthening the recognition of the people of the Tang Dynasty in south of the Five Ridges,objectively play a stabilizing effect of social order in south of the Five Ridges.
